About

Small Business Marketing Services in Greater Boston

Hello, entrepreneurs and business professionals. Before I break my arm patting myself on the back for all my amazing and glorious achievements in my bio, here’s the abbreviated version: I have worked in marketing-related roles for the past 20 years and have helped Boston-area businesses thrive as a printer, copywriter, SEO pro, web designer, communications coordinator, AI marketer, podcaster and webinar host. I’ve worn many hats in my marketing journey and I continue to learn and add new services that help small businesses like yours.

Steve Tannuzzo has been helping Massachusetts small businesses get noticed and grow for more than two decades. As the founder of Tannuzzo Creative, he brings his years of marketing, communications, and SEO expertise to the table, along with a talent for turning complex ideas into clear, relatable messaging that converts the curious into customers.

Based in Marlborough and working with clients across Massachusetts and beyond, Steve partners with business owners who need smart, practical marketing support.

Steve’s Path to Marketing

Steve’s path to marketing wasn’t linear. But that’s what makes him effective. He started in entertainment retail (out of college, he managed the busiest Blockbuster Video stores in New York), moved into commercial printing, led regional operations for BNI in Massachusetts, and later helped drive global marketing efforts for BNI Global. Over the years, he has:

  • Written hundreds of websites and blog posts, along with newsletters, email campaigns and LinkedIn profiles
  • Hosted webinars and co-hosted a 30-episode podcast on business networking
  • Trained teams across industries on communication and brand messaging
  • Presented at national conferences and assisted in leading global marketing rollouts

Commitment to Growth and Education

Steve believes strongly in lifelong learning, a core value ingrained from his 20+ years at BNI, the world’s largest business networking organization of its kind. Recently, he has been learning Spanish. While not yet fluent enough to speak it conversationally, he is getting there lento pero seguro. More important, has been keeping up with changes in marketing and technology, with certifications in SEO, Content Marketing, and Digital Marketing (HubSpot Academy, current through 2027).

He’s also served as a Dale Carnegie class coach, a Toastmasters club founder and president. Steve genuinely loves helping business professionals show themselves and their businesses with authenticity and impact.

A Note About AI Copywriting and Marketing

With over two decades of writing and marketing experience, Steve treats AI like the powerful tool it is, not a magic wand. While platforms like ChatGPT can speed up ideation and research, they don’t know your voice, your audience or your goals the way a seasoned copywriter does. Not even close. He uses AI to enhance strategy, creativity and clarity. It’s all about blending human insight with machine speed to create content that sounds like you, speaks to your customers and supports your business growth in real, measurable ways.

Reading, Writing, Red Sox!

Steve lives and works in Marlborough, Massachusetts. He has two good dogs who will work for treats. Although he was born and raised in Queens, New York, he’s been rooting for the Red Sox since he moved to Boston in 1991 — despite objections from his family, who remain horrified. His articles and product reviews have been published on redsox.com and mlb.com. He has also seen a small measure of success with photography. His photos of the city have been featured in advertisements, nonprofit marketing collateral and a short film on the architecture of Fenway Park.

Steve is an avid reader and collector of books. He posts regularly to his bookish Instagram account which he has grown to more than 10,000 followers.
